[Cortix info] Computer security is real issue for SMEs
Based on a survey of 3,000 SMEs by Acronis, a provider of backup, restoration and safety easy, Cortix you details the level of confidence of business leaders in the field of data backup and conditions for resumption of activity after any incident.
Few people regularly backup their computers, although 83% of respondents in the survey, said they understand the importance of saving. However, although consumers are aware of the existence antivirus and security of this technology, most computer data is not protected.
The laxity is the main brake
Nearly a third of users (29%) does not back up files, photos and music libraries stored on their machines, and a quarter (25%) report back only when they are thinking. In fact, only 15% of users regularly back up their machines (at least once a week).
Either because they think that their data do not risk anything, either because they do not know what it is, some people do not back: The laxity is the main obstacle: almost half of the users (48%) say that they should back up but do not give up.
Being a big priority for all small and very small, data backup is carried out in France according to the following figures from the study in question:
- 68% are likely to be victims of a break Activity Incident
- 68% want to adopt cloud computing strategy for backup and disaster recovery.
- 39% of them have a Budget too small to equip
- 29% lack of qualified personnel
